Summer is fleeting... almost makes you want to wear every pair of sandals, sundress, bikini & halter top you own in one day. There's nothing like a good sundress, especially one that has a dot of lingerie to it. I love cups with underwire & boning (don't judge me...). Let me know what you think about these...

Sweetheart Dress sold at Victorias Secret & their dot com- its on sale for $49! This is a great buy for the last month of summer & will be great for July 2011. You can do sandals or pumps- all depends on sexified you're trying to go.

Animal print is back in... I personally don't think it ever was out. In almost every magazine this month, the thing for fall is leopard. I'm gonna do mine a month early... rompers were the big thing this summer. Everywhere I looked, someone had one on. This sexy animal print romper is the best of both worlds... $49 on Victoriassecret.com.

I've got the fuzzies for weddings right now & I'm always imagining what my gown will look like when I jump the broom. I want to make sure I get a dress that looks like me & is still classy enough to make my grandmother proud... how bout this one?

I do a lot of posts with ASOS clothes & its because affordably they always make you look like the sh*t! I want to wear feathers & cleavage on my big day- this dress does both. It may work better as a reception dress because its so sexy but it gets my thumbs up! $202.14- can't beat that!

A couple months ago, I was flipping through one of my favorite educational tools (Lucky Magazine) & saw a wonderful ad. It was selling something that could change lives... shoes by Cynthia Vincent for Target. They were scheduled to drop April 18th & I decided back in February the cognac wedges in the ad would be mine.

Fast forward... Sunday April 18... 6pm. I logged onto Target.com & those bad boys were gone- OUT OF STOCK. That night, I got inspired & told myself I would get on the road to find my shoes the next morning. I wasn't the only one waiting on these shoes & lots of folks had my same idea. I hit a store in West Hollywood- nothing. Bellflower... zip. Lakewood didn't even carry Cynthia Vincent. On the freeway back to the city, I called the Van Nuys store, willing to drive another 40 miles on the hunt for my wedges. I called the store. SOLD OUT BUT getting a shipment at 3. I called back at 315 & wouldn't you know, those bad boys were gone. Upset and shoe deprived, I got back online & found the most remote Target I could get to... Valencia! They had my shoes- one pair of 10s left. I hopped on the 405 at rush hour, knowing I was coming home with my wedges. I fought traffic- and common sense- finally making it to the store. THEY SOLD MY DAMN SHOES BEFORE I COULD GET THERE!!! I was crushed & needed someone to curse at. I think the guest services clerk saw the crazy shoe gleam in my eye & came up with a solution... and I got my shoes. That was the best $100 I've ever spent on $30 shoes...

Howdy... I'm on my way back from my mental vacay. Sometimes you have to take some time off from everything to get your mind right. Erykah Badu wrote 'Window Seat' just for me... lol.

I was at traffic court a few days back. I had a super early check in time but if any of you know, that appointment time means nothing. I stood in a line that wrapped around a building, so I decided to people watch. There was a really hip, trendy chick in line. Fly sunglasses, hot white handbag- just really cute for it to be 8 am. As the line moved, I noticed there was something special about her leggings. They had bows on them! I don't know her name, but cute girl, thanks for inspiration! Gotta buy these!

OWWWW! I really want these! Charlie 5 Point mini bow leggings on BoutiqueToYou.com on sale for $79! I have $79... I'm gonna buy these this week! These leggings are cute & multi-functional- pumps, sandals, flats, dressy or casual. You gotta buy some too!

I have a thing for white shirts. Long sleeves, short ones, tanks, tight, loose- you can't go wrong with a white shirt. I'd pair this Mango brand shirt

with the leggings. It has a cute zipper in the back

Black & white works on a job interview... so I'd turn the outfit up with a bright, splashy color and one of my favorite things; A CARDIGAN!!!

Victoriassecret.com for $29.50- you can buy a bunch of these at this price. The short sleeves give it a different cardigan look. You can do this for summer with a tank or like I did, layer it with sleeves. Push the shirt sleeves back, grab some bracelets & pumps like these

Steve Madden makes these. 'Caryssa' on Piperlime for $89.00... I bought these back at Christmas from Bakers & I love them. This is a great shoe at a reasonable cost- hell, Rachel Zoe made them one of her shoe picks on Piperlime (after I bought them... assume what you will from my comment...).

I made a new friend a few months ago. We'd met once or twice before but this particular night after talking about potato chips, she became one of my favorite people. I think I've said it a few times... I like shopping. Buying things makes me feel good. Buying detergent makes me happy. Magazines give me a rush. We shouldn't even talk about what gum does... I found some really random things I'd like to drop a few bucks on. Let me know what you think-

I am working to invest money on things, including clothes. When you buy certain things, its to have it for a while.. think of it as an investment. This dress is one of those cases.. its a Rachel Palley tulip dress. I really like dresses made of jersey. No matter what you wear with it, it works. Sandals, pumps, gold belt, cardigan... they all work. This reminds me of a really sexy, simple dress you'd take on a vacation. Shopbop.com $233.

I didn't ever watch The Hills but I know Lauren Conrad always has on something amazing. She has a clothing line that's not too bad. Some "stars" need to stick to what they're famous for (I'm not saying any names...) but she's done okay...

I filed my taxes last night & I am so pumped to be getting a refund! I think refunds are to be spent on something you wouldn't or couldn't spend your paycheck money on unless there's a huge expense hanging over your head and you've been counting the days 'till you got that extra guap to catch up. I think I can kinda afford to blow mine on something fun (key word being 'kinda" 'cause there's ALWAYS something I could pay. That Target credit card has a death grip on my credit score- lesson learned... always carry 50% of your available credit line on your card...). So if I decide to "tho' it in da' bag", here are my top 3 splurges...

Hey all...

It's been a bit over a week & I haven't posted anything... bad blogger... I've really wanted to but just haven't. It shouldn't ever be more than a week- forgive me?

For some reason, I'm loving black clothes right now. Anything with studs that's black is even better. Rhianna has really made a huge impact on making my inner rockstar coming out.

This bustier is hot- really hot. The insets are lace, which channels my inner Appolonia. It looks a bit like a dress and those studs!!! Asos.com- $63.83. This says "sexy bad ass" with

... some leggings. "Liquid leggings" are the best in leggings. I know some folks wish they'd go away but I thank the fashion gods every time I put some on. Ones with a bit of shine or look leathery can class up a look real fast as long as you match it with something tasteful. I think they work well with this bustier- Arden B. for $28.

An ankle boot works well with everything. "Revolvor" by Steve Madden for $94.98 makes nice with this look. The peep toe and dramatic ankle instep make these just enough but not too much matched up with the bustier. They look very similar to a Marc by Marc Jacobs bootie, but for about $500 less. Grab some silver set rhinestone studs- you're good!

You can be a rockstar & still be a classy lady. Look at what I found-

I adore Asos.com. You can find all kinds of designer things without the wallet-busting prices. It looks very Indian influenced but still smells like a sexy rockstar. The open back & arms are so, so sultry. There are a few different nights this dress would be great. Not bad for $173.25-

All you'll need is a pair of mirrored avaitors & you're ready!

Hey all. I kinda have a lot of free time on my hands right now. Things are re-ordering themselves for my next move. I've been talking to a lot of friends & I guess the planets, moons.. something.. are out of wack cause we're all looking for what's next in out lives. To take the edge off, I indulged in some physical & retail therapy.

Black Halo makes this "White Jane Shift"... as soon as I found this, I felt better. It is very grecian/ Cleopatra-esque & retails for $390. This is a pretty timeless piece. This style almost always comes back in, if ever leaves. Gold bangles, simple hair- work it!

Not only do I look good, working with Natalie gives me a lot of clarity. Stretching does something special for my mind! She's performed all across North America performing including on Broadway in Disney’s Broadway Production of The Lion King. Anyone that's performed with Beyonce is AMAZING in everyone's book. Natalie is kind & affordable too- I can still get my shoe fix & see her a couple times a week. She has private classes & teaches Pilates at Re: Form a Pilates Studio in Brentwood. Beyonce, Rhianna, Eve, Solange... they all have rocked them. I need some... BAD! This is what the bad girls do. A regular nail polish manicure is nice but this definitely brings your game up a notch or 2. You can only get Minx nail art from specific manicurists (big shouts to Lucien; follow him on Twitter)- the nail shop on the corner can't do this. are the only things that are allowed to ooze out of the top of a muffin, meaning, your clothes should always fit you well. I jumped out of bed this morning and noticed how flattering my pjs were. Everything looked smooth, curves were in the right places. I almost wished I could wear them out today. I then flashed back to my jeans of yesterday... can you say THE WRONG DAMN SIZE! When buying clothes, no matter what you're wearing, size, fit, cut & style all play a huge role. Buy what flatters you- not just your tag size... however... some things are too damn cute to pass up. Can you say a skintight dress?

I was supposed to go to the Daytime Emmys this week- I was nominated y'all! But... I ain'y gonna make it. If I was... this is the dress. I've pretty much always knew I loved fashion. When I was a kid, I dreamed of becoming a fashion designer & used to make "leather clothes" from busted balloons for my Barbies. Granted since it was the 80's and the Mary Jane Girls were my inspiration, I knew I had a gift. I still have lots of style growing-up to do and like most things, if you want to be better, you get a mentor, I've picked mine.

Brea Stinson, fashion stylist, designer and personality......sorta like a gateway to all things FRESH (and this is the truth) is who I want to be when I grown up. I realized something a few days ago. Some of the stuff that people consider shallow are a few of my favorite things. I love clothes... and I doubt that makes me shallow, it just means I look better than the folks that feel that way... lol. Onto the vanity...

We have about a month of summer left, which kinda bums me out. I am all about a good sundress and some great sandals but with Fall comes the chance to bring back boots.

In my last post, I bared part of my sole, declaring my love for ruffles. I really do love them & it increases by 5 fold with this blouse. The edge of the ruffle is trimmed with a zipper. PURE GENIUS! I love stripes too. I kinda said that in my last post and included all my other faves, namely ruffles. Today is no different than any other; I am wearing a ruffle- no b.s. So in between flushing out ideas & singing Michael Jackson songs at work today, I pulled some fuzz-inducing stripes... check it out...

If I was going out & wanted to wear stripes (which I would- lol), I would so buy this LAMB "Sweet Striped" dress. The bust line is flattering & could work on pretty much any shape. A lady with a large bust could make this work because it wouldn't over expose your cleavage. A girl with a little extra curves could pull this off too because the stripes aren't horizonal plus the colors are warm. Shopbop.com- $345.

I absolutely love stripes, I can't say it enough.. but team some stripes up with some heavy cleavage and I'm proposing! I'm gonna marry this shirt!

PinkMascara.com did a great thing getting this shirt on their site. I wanna buy them all! Skinny horizontal stripes AND a huge dip for cleave is wonderful. This top, some sexy skinny jeans & some great pumps could shut the spot down! This is also a top you could pair up with some shorts & have a cute weekend outfit. "Twelfth Street U-Neck" in black & white makes me happy! ($151.20)

There's no reason not to have an easy yet cute dress to throw on in a clutch. This is that dress

FredFlare.com, "Chevron Striped Spaghetti Dress" works. A cool colored pair of Havaianas or a jazzy pair of flip flops make this a cool early Sunday brunch or a "damn, it's Monday... gotta go to work" dress. At $57.99, it's very doable.

Anyone who knows me, knows I have a list of favorite things. Mexican food, champagne scented candles, OPI nailpolish, some bangles & a piece of clothing with stripes or ruffles are must haves. My mother laughs at me all the time because everything I wear at all times incorporates a bunch of stripes or a ruffle- no bullshit! So while shopping at the Mall of My Mind this week, I decided to "buy" ruffles- lookie lookie!

White is the sexiest when its a light weight fabric. Its so resort-esque & just makes you think of something clean.

Here is all of that in one dress- it makes me want to drink a margarita with salt on the rim while standing under a wicker umbrella while standing on terracotta tile. I know I play too much. I've been gone too long & haven't posted in forever but I think I'm getting back in at a good time. Can you say romper???

Asos.com- its called "Lipstick Jupsuit". You know its all girly with the word lipstick in it. Its not too short or too billowy plus the racer back isn't quite a racer. Its just feminine enough & with the black piping, you can go either fancy or laid back. $46.89- can't beat that!

I have some thick ass thighs so I can't do these but one of you long, lean-legged gals should look into this- Urban Outfitters, "Samantha Pleet Romper". Love that lil' skirt over the top of the shorts. It almost looks like lingerie and a little girl's summer romper mixed together. The little buttons and a bit of eyelet make this a great buy @ $58.00. I dig the white but you can also buy it in peach or black.

They are a matte beige & the straps around the sides & up the front are elastic. The ankle wrap comes up pretty high so these are perfect for almost anything from a mini skirt to harem pants or some cutoffs."Genious" from Steve Madden is genius!

Today is officially the first day of Spring! Y'all- ready?

Norma Kamali ($20) at Kmart! Cute & simple. Since its jersey, I know it fits and wears well. I adore jersey dresses & love anything simple enough that you can dress it up with accessories. So let's imagine we're getting off work. We wore this earlier to work with a cardigan (if you don't have at least 1, you gotta get some!) and we have drinks with a couple of the girls. No time to go home but we need to turn up the look-

I can remember kids getting laughed at in elementary school for wearing Payless shoes. Anyone who buys these will be the one laughing now-$24.99! Patent leather, sexy heel- no brainer. Grab those bangles I was talking 'bout and be ready to sip that Cosmo.

So, its a Saturday morning. There's a flea market, brunch & farmer's market you gotta hit. You need something you can wear all day and be comfortable while fly all day.

I'm sure you are up on Asos.com. They have lots of sexy, affordable everything to wear. I love details so this dress with the oversized bow in front is a french toast, eggplant & vintage picture frames getting outfit. Plus you can't beat the price- $29.31!

I'm still laughing so here's another pair of shoes from Payless that I'd wear with that dress

I haven't been blogging lately (as you can tell). I decided not to participate in the Recession however my employers may have decided different. I have been keeping my purchases to a super minimum which kinda has me going through withdrawal. Yesterday, my family & I did dinner and a trip to Marshalls (a bargain hunter's paradise). I escaped by only spending $17! Check out my best purchase-

Sequined stuff is still pretty hot. I blogged over a year ago about all the shiny stuff I'd been buying. French Connection started advertising a few fly ones that are still online. There's one in particular that I loved- "Funky Petal" that's still $160.29 online at 6pm.com.

Guess who got that same dress for $10?! There are some raised beads & gold sequins in addition to some great patterns. Since I got it for 10 bucks, there are a few loose strings but the money I'll spend tightening them up is is waaaay less than the cost it still retails for. This is great with some liquid leggings or bare legged- either way, I got a deal! Tell me about what you've been buying on the cheap-

Butternut Squash Ravioli and Pumps

I had an awesome date last night- I learned how to make butternut squash ravioli and 4 other sexy dishes, from scratch in a hot ass dress and pumps. Now even though I didn't know where I was being taken, I was hot just in case- the minor foot ache that goes with pumps were well worth it! Today's advice- be dressed with some effort for anything! For that quick run to the grocery store, put on some studs. Morning jog in the canyon with the dog?- skip the faded capris and stretched out sports bra. You never know when looking better can make the difference. It was very sexified to be mixing flour with my hands wearing a magenta skin tight dress; I'd like to think it made my food taste better...

Its winter... kinda.. at least here on the West Coast. While we can get away with wearing flip flops and a fresh pedi lacquered up in some Rescue polish, hot boots are a must. I found a couple pairs that will be nice to the pockets but hurt folks real good...

If you know anything about me (most of you don't, but stay tuned), you know I love Urban Outfitters. These are "Keaton" perforated peep toe booties by Sam Edelman, found right in the UO catalog and online. They retail for $188, which is great because this look is the ish right now. YSL has a pair I'm sure these were modeled after but $188 VS $1088 is a little more doable. Try a cute cushy oversized sweater or a crisp white tee paired up with a "boyfriend/ letterman" style sweater over some leggings for "winter" (its been like 80 degrees so gotta say "winter" while smirking) then recycle for spring with a cute above the knee dress.

When I pulled these, they were $79 at Victoriassecret.com- they are now on sale (check the site). I love the cognac ones- you can do tights and a skirt, skinny jeans and vest and then in spring, denim cutoffs or cuffed capris, bare legs and a fancy white t-shirt (think exaggerated sleeves or a cutout- something fancy, not just a wife beater).

You know what else I'm excited about?- Obama!!! I know everyone has seen the bootleg-esque t-shirts on every corner... try to erase those well-intended but poorly executed fashion tributes. I found the BEST Obama shirt (while it was on a hot man, who actually owns the line)that you might need. Its a smart Obama shirt- not the typical picture - EVERYONE HAS A SHIRT WITH A PICTURE!!! I like buying stuff... nail polish, earrings, shoes... something everyday. The funny thing is, I don't have a problem with it. I like it- it makes me feel good. So today, while i was working, I indulged myself with a little retail therapy...

These are Minnetonka boots- they're pretty hot right now because you can match them up with anything and they look good. They retail at $42.00 at www.shopstyle.com.

There was a DSW Shoe Warehouse close by so I decided to pop in. Anyone who has read my blog knows I o.d. on shoes. I walked the isles, flirting with the pumps and caressing the boots. Like the good shopper I am, I went through the clearance section. The $20 I had in pocket was burning a hole in my jeans, maybe because it knew what I was about to stumble upon. I have big feet so the clearance section can either go really well or fashion tragic. In the racks were 2 pairs of Minnetonka boots- one high pair for $78.95 & a low pair for $38.95. I don't know if you are all that hip to DSW, but let me put you up on things; their clearance section has marked down shoes with ADDITIONAL percent off AND if you join their shoe buyers club (I did- stop laughing! I deal with my issues- lol), you get coupons in the mail. These aren't no punk coupons either- I got one for $10 off and you can save them & combine them with others as long as you have no more than 3 at a time. That's $30 off a sale price!!! So since I'm walking baby steps to get past my consumer-itis, I put the boots on hold and did the responsible thing.... I told myself if I kept thinking about them, I'd return to buy them. I went back into work and guess what?- someone had them on! She said they were some of the most comfy & easy shoes to wear, especially when you're on your feet all day. That was my sign!!! I remembered I had a $10 coupon in my car, a $20 in my pocket & they were 30% off the sale price. I ended up paying $17.43 for my Minnetonka ankle boots!!!

The tall ones retail for around $84 but if you're a shopper like me, you can definitely find them for less. Try a thrift store also- the o.g. version of these boots have a suede sole. My mom had a pair back in the day that my sister hijacked and loves to life. You can do skinny jeans & a tee for a Saturday visit to the hairdresser, a cute dress for work or a cardigan, jean skirt & cami for a movie date with these boots. I'm telling you, these are a nice lil' pair of shoes to have on standby- especially when you can get them for less than $20 bucks!

I dropped the ball and let my life pass me by! Stay tuned cause I'm getting all sparkly and new! I am supposed to be working but the shoe bug hit me and gotta find a fit to match them- what do you think?

I found these on Amazon.com for $35.95 and I love them! I put them in an earlier post and just happened to stumble upon them a second time- in an 11! (Yes I'm a sasquatch!) They look like money but they aren't. Black velvet is so 80's- think lace gloves and Vanity 6- lol. The red soles are kind of Leboutain... although I hate knock-offs, these might not fit the category. I know I could make them the shit... what do you think? I tell you guys to trust my taste and I don't buy it too!?! Time to change all that.....

So who the heck told me to be busy at work with a bunch of stuff? The last week or so has had me nursing paper cuts and frayed nerves, but what better way to feel better than to shop?

My thing for the summer, other than looking fab is feeling and attracting fab. I've decided to use my mind and my other attributes (curvy waist, cute face and gift of gab) to get me all the things I want in my life. It's Summer time- why not put all this to use?!

Later in the year when it starts to cool off, throw a colored cardigan over it with some ankle boots. I can see this having been worn by my mommy in a disco- lol.

I'm baaaack! Let's get right into things- the weather has been nuts but summer is still coming. I am so excited and have been anticipating it since like January. Yes, I looked like an ass in sandals but they were in the stores- no reason to save them in my closet till June- lol.

I am a cardigan lady- they work with everything. Try this look with a cardigan as the foundation of the look.

I found this at Kohls.com by Vera Wang (the super designer known most for stunning wedding gowns) for $25.00. Citron is a great summer color for any skin tone. It will brighten up your day just putting it on. Color is super important- put on something bright to feel good especially if it's a morning you're feeling a little blah....

More color- I think this turquoise looks great with the cardigan. You'll look like a New York Saturday afternoon- Forever21.com for $8.90. You can buy a bunch of these and not break the bank.

White pants are coming hard this year. If you're anything like me, you've seen the skinny white ones and it took you back to jr. high. I shook my head hell no at them but still wished I could find some that said sexy instead of summer school. Try these-

I LOVE THESE! This style is all over, at a lot of stores but being the shopper I am, I found these for $14.78 at nyandcompany.com. You can wear these all summer and if you don't worry too much about wearing white after Labor Day, you can do them into the fall.

I posted a couple months ago on how hot gladiator sandals are and how they work on everyone. This shoe is pretty close to a gladiator sandal but is a slight variation on them.

NineWest.com had this pair (SULLIBAN) for $69.99. They look classy and stylish at the same time. They look like you spent some cash on them.

This outfit is great for jumping on a plane for a sexy weekend or cocktails on a nice summer evening after work. The other fab thing about this look is that it works for just about every shape. Depending on if you wear the cardigan open or closed, you can turn up the sexy factor. The high shoe peeking out the bottom of the pants makes you look taller because you can barely see the shoe.

I NEED TO BLOW OFF SOME STEAM SO I'M WRITING!!! Forgive me for such a short post but this is about me today- lol. So..... last week, I had a few things to happen to me (being a grown up) so in the mist of the bullsh*t, I decided to do one of my favorite things- BUY SHOES! I grabbed some plastic (a debit card- credit cards can be evil) and hit Off Broadway, determined to buy something to give me a deep, warm fuzzy feeling of satisfaction.

These were calling me! There were a few other pairs I really like but these yelled Spring-slash- Summer the loudest. The color will work with almost anything and the ankle strap adds a bit of good girl gone bad- hi-5 J-Lo! Athena by Just Sweet, retail $69.99 at JustSweet.com (but the bargain hunter in me found them for $48 bucks!!!) Now I have to find something to wear with them- I, as much as a fashionista as I am, need to figure out what to wear with them. I'm open to suggestions everyone :)

I think I mentioned how much I love Summer once or 10 times before. I'm not into the sweaty, hot like hell part of Summer but when the weather is warm enough to ditch a jacket and make sure the backs of your thighs are Naired. We are slowly inching towards this joyous season where sundresses and sandals rule the fashion kingdom with an iron ankle strap (lol).

This cute dress is perfect for anything cute on a summer Saturday. Gotta date? Wear this. Gotta wash the car? Wear this. Lunch you say?- you got it by now I'm sure. It's a great length, shows a little bit of cleave (you could even wear a bikini top underneath for more accessory appeal) and the color says cool. Visit Alloy.com- $39.50.

Flat sandals are my favorites- these are perfect for the dress.

$20.00 from Newport News- they used to be a catalogue full of old lady clothes and now they've stepped up their game. I don't usually like to be too matchy but this works because the shoes are brighter than the blue in the dress. Gold ones would work, I might even be bold enough to work the fushia. The shoes paired with the dress makes for a great look for less than $60.00 and you look like a million!

In my last post, I featured a pair of NYLA gladiator sandals I was TOTALLY in love with. I ran right out and bought them for $70. 3 days into owning them, they started tear. THAT'S UNACCEPTABLE! So wanting gladiator sandals, I bought these above from Bakers for $49.99. Cheaper, made much better and a heavier grain of leather- YOU SHOULD BUY SOME TOO!

I think I'm going to start posting what I buy to this blog, just so everyone knows I buy what I preach. I will post soon- off to make some money to buy more stuff!!!!

It's Spring! I am getting my head screwed on right so you'll be seeing more of me. It's becoming my favorite time of year so I'm pumped to write about what I like. You guys know I love nail polish (I'm wearing yellow now- it makes me smile to look at my hands) and shoes. Spring means open toed shoes and sandals- right now, gladiators are the hot shizzle. You know how I do, so look at my picks below, for every budget.

Seaxy, sexay! These are by Gianvito Rossi at Sacks Fifth Avenue for $795. The beige patent leather is so classy and that heel is multi-functional. You can wear these with a ladylike sundress, some denim shorts with a safari jacket and wife beater or some high waisted leggings and a white fitted button down. For the money you're investing in these shoes, get a lot of wear out of them.

I like these. They remind me of a lizard- lol, a fancy one. Not too expensive but gives the illusion of a little money spent. Check them out at Nordstroms.com, by Sam Edleman $88.95.

These are what I want- NYLA at Nordstrom for $64.95. They come in gold- which is my favorite! Gold shoes turn up any outfit, especially a weekend outfit which tends to be shall I say- SLOPPY! Not too pricey and will last all summer. I gotta go get a pair today!

Kinda gladiator... love this color! There's a cool pattern made into the leather. This is another pair of sandals that works with a million looks. Nordstroms (one of my favorites) by Matisse "Fusion" for $44.95.

Can I get an AMEN?! How can you not like t-straps, snake skin and color for your feet? Urban Outfitters never fails- and is usually nice to your pockets. At $38.00, you can afford to buy the beige ones.

So..... I think I'm shoe shopping today after seeing all these pairs of shoes! I can spare $60- Thank Spring..... I'M BAAACK!

I'm..... I can't even think of what I am right now. There's no reason not to write. I allowed myself to get distracted by bullshit and neglected all ya'll. I'm back!

It's Valentine's Day and me and my imaginary boyfriend are getting dressed for a date. I'm not sure where he's taking me but I know its gonna be good- he's so thoughtful!

Gotta do red shoes! Red shoes are sexy and always turn up the smut on any outfit. The sky high heel on these have a definite c.f.m factor. These are the "HIGHEST HEEL" by Hottie. They aren't expensive although they look like some couture brands, $54.95 at Zappos.com. My boyfriend will want me to keep these on long after dinner and dessert are done.

This line is the best! All of the shirts & cardigans say something really kitchy or slightly smutty- everything you wish you could say aloud without worrying someone was listening. This shirt says "I LOVE PORN"- for Valentine's Day, what else could a guy ask for? This shirt is $53 at Lochers.com. Check out the site NOW!

I can remember having a skirt like this in like 5th grade- and I love this one just as much as I loved the one I had back then. The wash is very old school but the cut is very now. You can almost never go wrong with a pencil skirt. Check it out on UrbanOutfitters.com for $58.

I'm usually not real big in guns on anything, especially clothes but this shirt is the exception. It's by Rebelyell, "Unruly" in Raglan Blue. You have to visit 80spurple.com- it's kinda like karmaloop.com in that it has the lines you won't find everywhere and that the stuff is super hot. My man looks good in his $73 shirt.

Fresh a** jeans! I rarely like black jeans but these are nice because of the wash. They don't quite look black. The Orisue AOI Classic Fit Jean- the line is really fly too- can be found at Karmaloop.com for $86.

Vans has some really great shoes for men and women. These are actually unisex. A lavender shoe should really be for girls but for this outfit, its for my man. $65 at Vans.com.

I went in 2 dates this week and they were "meh" at best. I saw an ex... I will spare you all the sad details. Those mediocre dates and my Toys R Us ex ("I don't wanna grow up...", you know the song...) got me thinking. I have always made things materialize in my life- this blog is a medium I've used to get my clothing addiction addressed and treated. Why not use this blog as a platform to build-a-boo? I did a huge thing and stayed home tonight. I decided to stay home instead of getting all dolled up and hitting the stroll. I sorta believe how you begin your New Year sets the tone for reoccurring theme of the year. So... I decided to spend my first few moments blogging, being productive in the effort of making me better in the new year- nothing conveys newness better than a new dress :)

There are a few things I like more than clothes and shoes. At the top of my list of additional likes are men. In all occasions with men, I try to make sure they know I like nice clothes and shoes (this way they can never go wrong with gifts- they know what I like from the jump- lol). Now, there are 3 very specific instances I make sure I look spiffy with anything involving the opposite sex. Below are my scenarios and the looks for each. Boots are my favorite shoe style, so each scenario involves boots. Let me know what you think-

Scenario 1
"Oh sh*t, he's fine and coming my way!"- 1st Meeting
Imagine you're having dinner and drinks with your girls at a really cute, new spot. You step away from the table and head to the restroom. As you get up from the table, you spot a dangerously fine man heading in your direction, smiling hard as hell at you. He's smiling really hard because you look amazing!

They are online, like everyone else in the 21st century and have some great things. These pleated twill wide legs are $159 and a great investment. Check them out at Spiegel.com.

Bad azz pants deserve a hot azz blouse, especially one under $50.00.

Nordstrom, known for their amazing return policy (I bought something back in 95 and they let me return it in 98!!!) also has a great Juniors section called BP. They have great pieces, including this shirt by Lovesquared for $32.00. You can't beat that price for that style. I've found similar tops other places but this one will look how it did when you bought it after you wash it. So let's say I landed that fly gig I interviewed for, wearing the fab outfit above- benefits, paid vacation and an office- yay me! Now, I have to be sure to keep up that fashionista boss image. Its always funny how after you get the job wearing pantyhose, a cute business suit and closed-toe shoes you switch to the real you come casual Friday- skin tight jeans, a faded black tee & green flip flops. Can't go out like a sucka so I here's what I'm wearing on my first casual Friday.

Paige jeans are really hot, fit almost every shape and are pretty reasonable for designer jeans. The sample sale is your chance to get a $150 pair of jeans for less than $100. You can't beat that! Set aside a few bucks and set an alarm in your Blackberry for next Saturday!

I was thinking and realized I need to redeem myself for all the budget-blowing shoes I posted a few days ago. I see shoes and lose all self-control- lol. Do you forgive me? I have some good stuff today that will make you smile and forget I was so careless with your money- lol.

I am a gold shoe girl but silver is making my style senses tingle lately. Silver is getting a lot of attention right now. Last year it was all about gold nails, earrings, shoes and bags. This year is giving attention to silver. Check these out.

I found these at a really cute site called Flyjane.net. They're only $49.90- which is a great price for a trendy pair of shoes. These work with jeans, a cute party dress (look at that ankle strap) or leggings like in the picture. I would rock these at a cute dinner with the girls.

These are by JustSweet by JLo. This line is a step up from her regular JLo line. These look pretty swanky. You'd have to make sure your feet were shined up just right to wear these. This is a great party shoe- not too sext but just sexy enough. These are online at Macys.com for 100.00.

I love these shoes! They are multi-purpose pumps. You could wear them to a job interview with some really sexy trousers or cigarette skirt. Of the 3 shoes in the silver/ grey family, these are my favorite. They're a dot of a splurge but it is Christmas!

One of the best pieces of advise I've ever gotten was to make sure I had some shinny lipgloss and good jeans at all times, no matter what. Brea Stinson, stylist to the stars (and that ain't no cliche- this chick has dressed Usher, Jay-Z, Ginuwine and many more dangerously sexy men and women) gave me that advice. She has an awesome line called BStar and is collaborating with a few other designers for a trunk show in New York. (I'm coast to coast with my connects :)

Meeeoooow!- The "Screw the Car Insurance " Edition

Most of you reading this blog know my philosophy on shopping- I need to do it regularly but spending the carnote and dipping into the overdraft isn't my style- USUALLY. Every now and then, you have to treat yourself- I do my treating the 3rd check of the month because by then, all the bills are paid or the arrangements on them have been made- lol. I don't know about you but I am a sex kitten. I love fancy hair, polished nails, the ultimate push up bra & high heeled shoes for the grocery store. I found a few pairs of shoes I find incredibly sexy, indulgent and would wear to the carwash- lol.

I found these online at Nordstom (Pura Lopez, $300.00). These are real old school, sexy glamour. Red lips, black eye liner, white blouse, waves and a pencil skirt. Remember those old school cartoons when the sexy girl walked in and the drums started as she and her curves stepped across the floor?- these are the shoes she wore. These are not my usual budget beauty price but I'd manage to get these after the rent is paid.

I missed you guys and writing about a few of my favorite things- CLOTHES & SHOES! I'm working on a plan to get my money right so I can start shopping the way I want- I gotta get that Marc Jacobs bag on my arm and make sure the cable bill is paid in full!

So on Black Friday, I hit the mall. I didn't go at 5 a.m., more like noonish. I went into Forever 21 which was still pretty jumping being open at least a million hours before I got there. I stopped in Wet Seal and found these

Colored skinny jeans are everywhere! These are an okay cut and pretty inexpensive so when the trend dies down, you didn't drop a fortune on them. How does $15.00 work for you??? Old Navy also had some on sale for $15.00. *Note* Since it's Wet Seal, they aren't built for "women"- code word, curvy swervies like myself. I got them on, but the muffin top was in full effect. So if you're on the slimmer side and have a tame rump, this might work.

So to make up for the time I was gone, I decided to go for the gusto. I finally admitting I am a rocker chick slash biker chick underneath this skin. I love short skirts, messy yet sexy hair, bangles and lots of flashy things. Since its holiday party season, I came up with a few looks I'm going to try if I get some party invites-

Why hello there! This week is a very important week. Not because of the holiday, (even though Thanksgiving is key) Black Friday is a holiday specifically for those with comsumer addictions- lol. This week also starts the beginning of party clothes season. There's nothing like a hot little dress and fly pumps to wear to the company Christmas party! I'm gonna take a couple days to really find some good stuff to get on here for you, but just to wet your shopping whistles, start with this-

I usually start my outfits from the shoe up. I think no matter what clothes you have on, a good outfit is made by the shoe. Have you ever seen someone that had the hair right, dangly earrings dangling, cute dress on and you pan down to the shoes and they ruined it all?!? There's nothing like seeing someone with a pair of beat-up or church lady shoes with a sexy dress. So my suggestion to everyone is to start from the shoe up.

I love these! I know you're sitting down, but you should lean back to read this one. These shoes are from Payless! Patricia Fields (wardrobe stylist/ costumer for Sex in the City) has a couple pairs of shoes and 1 (yes 1) handbag she designed for Payless. Simple gold or two-toned jewelry works with this one. You don't really need anything on your neck but a few bangles (fancier than the beauty supply ones please!) would do. Try some dainty stones for your ears and loose, sexy hair- and you're good to go. Wearing this might get you the raise you wanted for the new year- hopefully your boss is a man and single!

I've neglected my passions this week. My hair is loose (weave lingo- lol), nails are chipped and jeans need to be washed. Work the priority this week. I promise never to be so involved again- so anyone that knows me, knows I'm a shoe freak. If I were a guy, I'd be like that guy that episode of Girlfriends that wanted to spend hours in the shoe store with Joan with a stiffie- lol. So this post is all about shoes. Next price range up- I LOVE THESE! I found this pair on Asos.com for $78.45. This is one of my favorite sites. They knock off almost every celebrity's look- affordably (p.c. for cheap).

NOW FOR THE PIECE DE LA RESISTANCE... DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!!!

Marc Jacobs is the shi*t! This is one of those super splurges that you make arrangements on your gas bill for. I don't remember what site I saw these on because I was blinded by my lust for them. These masterpieces have a lucite heel, satin trim, with a sexy ankle strap (can't do sexy without an ankle strap) and rhinestones. $415.00 and worth every penny!

By now, I'm sure you all know Kanye West's mom, Dr. Donda West, passed over the weekend. I wanted to say something about her in addition to my Monday post. Although I never knew her personally, I really admire Ms. West because I can identify with her story. I see her as an example for raising a spectacular son in spite of the circumstances she faced being a single mother. As the world looks at Kanye during this very emotional, private moment, those of us the know what it means to to be a single mother, should smile knowing that the job we do raising our children impacts the world. Kanye is the man he is because his mother loved him, prayed for him, guided him and encouraged him. Her hard work and efforts have paid off. My heart goes out to her family, especially Kanye.

So onto the post...

The title of today’s post is the theme right now- I’m paying off credit cards, so all the more to look fab for less. I like to bargain hunt and find inexpensive pieces but when the opportunity presents itself to splurge (within reason), I go for it. Everything I put on this blog is something I’d wear. It’s a good idea to spend more money on the things you know you can use for a while. It’s a good idea to spend a few extra dollars on some semi-basic boots or a pair of jeans in a classic cut (my favorite cut are skinnys; sex them up, sex them down- they work!). Anything with a lot of details or a splashy color isn’t worth blowing the majority of the clothing allowance. You’ll never want to wear those boots for fear of some slightly jealous chick telling you “I love when you wear those” or a year from now asking yourself why you bought them in the first place. Here are 2 looks with one shoe- a patent leather ankle boot. You can rock these boots a couple times in 1 week. Both looks are very different & give the illusion of 2 different pairs of shoes. When creating chic on a budget, one must get creative- lol.

My philosophy on shopping is buy what you want regardless of how much it didn't cost. That means if I find a shirt in Walmart with plenty of style potential, its going in the cart with the Comet, mouthwash and oven cleaner. Now keep in mind there are guidelines and bylaws to this rule (that's another post)- now onto today's suggestions!

Try this sweatshirt- you can make it sexy with a belt but for this look, it might be over kill. Its an American Apparel sweatshirt. I love AA but sometimes they're kinda pricey. HOWEVER (you'll learn that's one of my favorite words) I know where the outlet is!

Today wasn't that busy at work so I did some fantasy shopping. I saw a link to a MySpace page for Nneka Hurley's Handbags. Next to shoes, OPI nail polish and bangles, bags have a hold on me. Hers are really fly. I'm not sure of the price range but they look pretty affordable (meaning less than a Chloe Python clutch @ $1600) yet definitely hot enough that Eve and Keysha Cole rock them. I'm really feeling the fabrics- and they're handmade, so each is special. I might have to get one after I pay the car note :)
